Mercedes AMG GT R is a monster "Green Hell

Mercedes AMG GT R wears its green dress and busts the famous Nürburgring circuit to unveil the most powerful and sporty Mercedes versions of sports driving on the track.

This is the new Mercedes AMG GT R. If it's green, it's a special color for this category, called "Green Hell", the name of the famous Nurburgring circuit, and this is the biggest proof of the car's identity. It is a racing car dedicated to public roads and developed on the horrific Norburgring circuit in western Germany. Think of it as an AMG version to rival the Porsche 911 GT3 and the picture will be clearer.
In terms of engine, the AMG GT R uses the same engine as the other AMG GT models, with a 4.0-liter with two turbo, but with different turbo devices, a modified computer system, a new exhaust system and higher compression ratio, the engine power rises to 585 horsepower at 6250 d / D with 700 Nm of torque available from the standard 1900 d / d only. The force is still being transported to the rear wheels via a seven-speed Speed Shift gearbox with a clutch on the rear axle. But the power is now being moved to the gearbox through a torque axis made of carbon fiber lighter than that made of aluminum in other models. The result is an acceleration of 0-100 km / h in 3.6 seconds, and a maximum speed of 318 km / h although the first spare is longer, and the seventh is shorter.
In terms of exterior shape, the changes are not as cosmetic as they are practical. The Mercedes AMG GT R follows the function and changes designed to increase the efficiency of the car's smoothness and performance. The obvious changes are in the front grille, which draws on the AMG GT3 design for racing and the large rear wing. But there is also an increase in rear-view rear seats to accommodate larger wheels and increase the rear axle width, carbon fiber front wings to reduce the weight of 1,550 kg, as with the roof. In the rear, there is a double exhaust in the center of the air dispenser, or a diffuser with rear shock holes. The change is complete with wider gauge wheels and larger diameter, with 19 inches in front and 20 inches in the rear, with carbon fiber brakes and ceramics behind.
At home, the changes focused on giving the Mercedes AMG GT R a greater focus on sporty driving than race cars, especially with light leather-covered sports seats, yellow safety belts and special counters, and a special car handle to control the positions of the clutch system, The car feels like it is actually a racing car dedicated to public roads.
Of course the changes are not limited to the external shape and the engine. To give the car the desired performance on tracks such as the Nürburgring, the suspension and control systems have been changed to the car and increase its aerodynamic efficiency. The suspension arms are made of aluminum, with manually adjustable springs and shock absorbers electronically adjusted according to the system chosen, with three different positions. The AMG GT R also gets a rear-wheel steering system that takes about a half and a half, unlike the front wheel winding at speeds of less than 100 km / h to improve maneuverability and agility, and in the same direction when it reaches a higher speed to improve stability. There is also an adjustable bottom base to increase the speed of the air under the car, thereby achieving higher rates of aerodynamic stability at high speeds.
The AMG GT R was also fitted with a special rear-wheel-drive control system with nine different modes. The first is the best for wet roads, while the ninth position completely unleashes the rear of the car to slide as you like. It will undoubtedly be fun on the track. All that remains is knowing the timing of the new car on the roads of green hell.
